Pat has taken part in a range of activities since the inception of the Eat Well Be Active campaign in 2006 to provide an example of how ordinary Australians can pursue a healthier lifestyle.

Cherish the Children Foundation

The Cherish the Children Foundation believes encouraging people of all ages to adopt healthier eating and exercise habits will be particularly beneficial in generating awareness of childhood obesity as a major problem in today’s society.

The Cherish the Children Foundation is working with the Queensland Government to increase awareness and stimulate behavioural change in relation to healthy food choices and physical activity.

The Foundation has a special interest in three key areas including reducing the impacts, and raising awareness, of childhood obesity; assisting disadvantaged children through a variety of causes; and protecting the environment in leaving a legacy for our children.

The Foundation believes encouraging people of all ages to adopt healthier eating and exercise habits will be particularly beneficial in generating awareness of childhood obesity as a major problem in today’s society.
