Viewing and downloading PDF files

This page provides information for users needing assistance to display, download, save or print Portable document format files (.pdf) linked to this website.

Portable document format files (.pdf)

This website uses Adobe Acrobat PDF files to distribute electronic documents such as forms, brochures and other publications.

To view and print a PDF file, you will need to have the Adobe Acrobat Reader software installed, which is available for free-of-charge from the Adobe website.

To view a PDF file:

  1. Select the link of the document that you want.

  2. The PDF document will load into the reader.

Note: The PDF file will open within the browser window once you have selected its link. However, for a more trouble-free way of accessing the file, you can save the file to your hard drive. You can then open it again later without going online to find it, and it prints more effectively.

To save a PDF file for later viewing:

  1. Right-click the link for the document you want.

  2. Selecting Save target as... in Internet Explorer (or select Save Link As... in Netscape or Firefox).

  3. Select Save (make sure you note where you have saved it).

  4. Use the Adobe Acrobat Reader view and print the file.

Adobe also provides a free, web-based service for blind and vision-impaired users where any PDF document on the Internet can be converted to HTML. For further information, refer to: Online conversion tools for Adobe PDF documents.
